# Regions


Each account has a region. New VMs are created in your account's region, which you can change with [`set-region`](/docs/cli-set-region). VMs in a [pool](/docs/pools) run in the pool's region instead, which is chosen when the pool is created.

The lobby (main exe.dev server) is located in the United States for all accounts.

- **PDX**: Oregon, USA
- **LAX**: Los Angeles, USA
- **NYC**: New York, USA
- **DAL**: Dallas, USA
- **FRA**: Frankfurt, Germany
- **TYO**: Tokyo, Japan
- **SYD**: Sydney, Australia
- **SGP**: Singapore
- **LON**: London, UK

The PDX region is not accepting new accounts; LAX is the nearest substitute. Accounts associated with PDX may have some VMs located in LAX.
